A construction, services and property group employing c13,000 employees is seeking to appoint a Global Talent Director.

A newly-created role, this is an exciting opportunity for an experienced talent and resourcing professional. Working across the full employee lifecycle, the role will take strategic responsibility for talent identification, acquisition, management, development and retention.

There is a need to overhaul the current process and systems so as to develop a group-wide talent and resourcing philosophy and framework.

The successful individual will report to the Group HR Director and will be a member of the senior HR leadership team.

The Role

To develop a respected talent and resourcing function. Collaborating across all parts of the business (and at all levels), the Talent Director will establish a group-wide structure and process to enable the identification of critical resourcing requirements (current and future)

Working with senior management in the business (and their HR Business Partners) to ensure that their businesses are adequately resourced to support the delivery of their strategies

Developing succession plans across the group which are in line with the business strategies and working with the new Learning & Development function to ensure that development needs, relating to the succession plans, are met.

The Candidate
*A commercially aware HR professional with a track record of leading the talent agenda in a multi-site, international organisation. Experience must cover from graduate recruitment to senior hiring.
*Able to develop robust, cost-effective and creative resourcing strategies to support the creation of a strong employer brand.
*A broader HR background would be useful, as will a good knowledge of talent management systems.
*Strong project management and communication skills.
*Comfortable with managing both the strategic and the operational delivery elements of the full talent agenda – able to have conversations at MD level but also deliver within their businesses.
